101 – Cristofer Pereyra and Erin Monnin on Catholic Leadership for Civil Society

So often we feel that to be a faithful Catholic, we need to work for the Church, or some Church related ministry. But I’m here to tell you that’s not the case. You can and need to exercise Catholic values and ethics in your workspaces, communities, and neighborhoods. But how?

Joining me on the show to teach us about Catholic leadership in secular spaces is Cristofer Pereyra and Erin Monnin, authors of the book Catholic Leadership for Civil Society. Cristofer is the CEO of Tepeyac Leadership Initiative, a program geared towards training Catholic leaders for society not just lay ecclesial ministry.

In this episode, we discuss what it means to be a leader, the importance of needing faithful Catholics in all aspects of society, including businesses, non-profit board service, and politics, discerning where God is calling you to serve, and the role hope plays in leadership.
